Three operators serve the space, which is more a being than a thing, in its search for answers to the question, who or what am I? Using images, sounds and figure theatre, they test out different ways of dealing with their neurotic protagonist, a dysfunctional holodeck. Simon Krahl, Simon Bauer and Rike Schuberty explore the dialectics of man and machine, creator and creature, analogue and digital and ultimately humanity’s urge to create images of itself.

Bauer, Krahl und Schuberty wagen sich auf von Puppenspielern bisher kaum erkundetes Terrain
vor. Sie erkunden dabei die Dimensionen des Raums. Die drei Dimensionen von Breite, Höhe
und Tiefe, aber auch die Dimension der Zeit – ihres Ausdehnens und Zusammenziehens. Und sie
erkunden, welche Erzählstrategien möglich sind anhand der immer smarter, immer intelligenter
werdenden Dinge rings um uns herum. Erlauben sie Narrationen des Beseeltseins? Werden wir
in Zukunft statt mit den Figuren von dramatischer und epischer Literatur, von Comic und Poesie
